In First Class’s 30th year, another successful project has been completed on schedule and in budget at a London school.
The summer holiday period is the prime time of the year when access for large projects is possible in schools and colleges.
The project included installing a powerful LCD projector in a sports hall, over 7 metres from the floor, plus an accompanying wide electric screen that can be deployed when sports are not being played. In addition, an accompanying mobile sound system was added, enabling staff to present to large audiences, such as school assemblies and staff presentations.
The project included:
A Sharp V Series (8,000 Lumens), WUXGA Laser Projector installed at high level in a secure cage. It combines low maintenance, and long-life laser performance, using 3LCD technology, delivering vivid colour and precise white point calibration with 12-bit colour processing for rich saturation and contrast suited for education and corporate environments.
Projecting onto a Smart Move (2 stage) 4 metre wide electric screen deployed by remote control.
The Sound system is in a wheeled equipment cabinet that can be stored securely when sports are in progress, then moved into position when required, plugged in (via 4 cables) and operated. It comprises four line array wall mounted loudspeakers positioned around the hall.
The cabinet houses amplifiers, PA mixer with FX, media player with Bluetooth facility, two handheld radio mic’s, plus a lapel radio mic and head worn radio mic.
The projector connects to a staff laptop device via fibre optic HDMI connection.
